Our stay at the North Coast Guest House was absolutely wonderful. The beautiful garden and breathtaking mountain views provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and peaceful retreat. The cozy and charming rooms had everything we needed, including a balcony/veranda to enjoy the fresh air. The house and bathroom were impeccably clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped for our cooking needs. We appreciated the basic breakfast provided in the mornings and the complimentary coffee. The location was ideal, with a hiking trail passing right behind the house and the town center just a short walk away. Having our own transportation allowed us to explore the island and neighboring towns easily. The hospitality of our hosts, Ruben and Andrea, was outstanding. They made us feel right at home and shared their local knowledge and recommendations with us. we had a fantastic experience at the North Coast Guest House and would definitely visit again.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Clean room, comfortable bed, and a quiet atmosphere. The hotel facilities were excellent, including a shared kitchen and a bar with honest drink prices. The highlight was definitely the large and beautiful garden, with over 100 different plant species, including banana trees and tropical flowers. The location was perfect, with easy access to the nearby waterfalls and a short drive to the sunny southern coast. The staff, especially the owner, Ruben, were kind and helpful. We also enjoyed meeting other guests and socializing in the shared spaces.
All good.

Our room had a private bathroom with a bidet and shower. It felt like a clean and cozy space where we could relax after a day of exploring. The shared kitchen was a great convenience. We enjoyed cooking and preparing meals together as a family, saving money on eating out. The double room had a seating area, allowing us to unwind and enjoy the beautiful view. It made us feel right at home. Having a washing machine in the room was a game-changer. We could easily clean our clothes after beach days or hikes. The patio in the double room was a lovely addition. It provided a peaceful spot to enjoy breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening.
While others may enjoy it, we personally found the bidet in the bathroom unnecessary.

I had full access to a shared kitchen, perfect for pretending I can cook. The shared living room was great for pretending to watch TV. The colorful garden was magical, just like my imagination. And the nearby ocean was perfect for pretending to be a surfer.
Who needs a car when you have double the walking time uphill? Absolute bliss!

I had a great time at the North Coast Guest House in Madeira. the garden was extremely beautiful and provided a perfect spot to relax after a day of hiking. the charming accommodations were comfortable and each had a balcony or veranda. the main house and bathroom were very clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. the breakfast provided in the morning was tasty, and I loved the variety of pastries. the location was also fantastic, with impressive views of the mountains. It was a short walk to the town center where there were plenty of restaurants and bars, and the beach restaurants were only a 20-25 minute drive away. my stay at the North Coast Guest House was wonderful and I hope to return in the future. Cons: Can't fault the property in any way. 👌.

I specifically chose to visit the Veu da Noiva Viewpoint during my trip to Sao Vicente, and staying at Madeira Surf Lodge was the perfect choice as it is located nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the free WiFi offered by the lodge, which made it convenient for me to stay connected and share my experiences online. , the option to prepare meals in the shared kitchen and the complimentary continental breakfast provided added convenience and made my stay more enjoyable.
No complaints whatsoever about Madeira Surf Lodge. However, we preferred the Southside of Madeira a bit more because there is less rain.

The facilities at this hotel were amazing, with a beautiful tropical garden that made us feel like we were in the countryside. We enjoyed having an outdoor terrace and the option to walk to the seaside in just 15 minutes. The breakfast service was excellent, with a wide variety of local pastries to try. The warm welcome we received from the staff made our stay even more enjoyable.
That it rained a lot during our four-day stay, which meant that the room could get quite humid and a bit cold. It was also difficult for our towels to dry properly.
